Paddle Sports
Experience lakes and wildlife up close and personal from a kayak or canoe. The Wildcat chain offers miles of nearly undeveloped shoreline and abundant wildlife that will delight both experienced and novice paddlers. Loons, herons, and bald eagles are seen daily, and otters, deer, or even an occasional bear may make an appearance along the shore.
The no-wake Kitten lakes are a quiet, safe place to practice paddling skills. Follow the channel to Wildcat Lake, where five islands break the wind and make for excellent paddling conditions. Guests with their own boats will find easy launching from the level shoreline in front of Point cabin, and can use the resort as a base to explore literally hundreds of northwoods lakes that dot the Northern Highland National Forest.
